FEBRUARY 23 • 10:00AM  Ka Loke O Maui: this song speaks of a trip aboard a ship known as The Rose or Ka Loke. The day trip took them around all of Maui revealing all it’s hidden beauty.

FEBRUARY 23 • 1:00PM Kaʻohanakupaokamaka: Written in celebration of the Kamaka ukulele family and their centennial anniversary. The song pays tribute to their prized ukulele and is a Mahalo for all they have done for me.

MARCH 8 • 10:00AM Haleakalā: Written by Amy Kalima. This song takes us to the island of Maui and speaks of a trip to the summit of Haleakalā. Amy Kalima takes her friends to visit the mountain because they've never been and they’re amazed by the majestic sights.

 MARCH 8 • 1:00PM Manukula: A love story that speaks of a boy from Halawa, Molokai who fell in love with a beautiful demigod girl from Mokuhoʻoniki.

MARCH 22 • 10:00AM  I Kēpua Ko Wehi  HULA KAHIKO: ‘Ili’ili Hula **students need ‘ili’ili stones for this hula. One pair for each hand.  A chant written to honor aliʻi Poʻomaikelani. The poetry uses both Hawaiian natural elements and place names of Poʻomaikelaniʻs home to honor the aliʻi.

MARCH 22 • 1:00PM  Hoʻoheno Nō Keaukaha: Written to honor Keaukaha and its people. This song takes us on a journey within Keaukaha and the many beauties that are found within its borders.

MAY 3 • 10:00AM  Ka Pua Roselau: A love song that uses the lokelau blossom to liken that of a lover to its spicy nature.

MAY 3 • 1:00PM  Lei Kukui: the Lei Kukui can be fashioned in many different ways. This song explores the many different ways one can make lei from this beautiful mea kanu.

JUNE 14 • 10:00AM  Mo’omomi  Mo’omomi is a beach on Molokai known for its beauty and for growing Hinahina. The mele praises the golden sands and layers of blue that you find in the ocean there. This is one of my favorite beaches in Hawaii.

JUNE 14 • 1:00PM  Lāʻieikawai: One of my favorite places to visit when I go back home to Hilo. This hidden gem  is a place of refuge for me—a place where I can unwind. This song speaks of all the things that bring me joy when I arrive to the ponds.

 JULY 12 • 10:00AM  Nō Lūlū Kō A Uka HULA KAHIKO A mele inoa written for Lūlū Kelohilani Kahele of the uplands.

JULY 12 • 1:00PM  He Aloha Nō ʻO Koloiki: A song that pays tribute to both Koloiki and Hilo. I wrote this after a stay in a historic home on Koloiki.

SEPTEMBER 13 • 10:00AM  Rain Tuahine: I wrote this song during the pandemic. The rain of Manoa brought me so much happiness when I was in a dark place. This song speaks of all the things that make me happy during that time.

SEPTEMBER 13 • 1:00PM  Ka Poʻokela Aʻo Niʻihau: Written to honor the very best beauty to come from the island of Niʻihau. That, of course, is the beautiful pūpū o Niʻihau.

SEPTEMBER 27 • 10:00AM  Pulakaumaka: this song was written for individuals close to my heart. They are intricately woven within the poetry of this song. Pulakaumaka means, one who remains in your thoughts forever. 

SEPTEMBER 27 • 1:00PM Ka Uluwehi O Hilo: A song that I wrote a very long time ago to honor my birthplace, Hilo Hanakahi. This is a fun, upbeat ‘Auana.

OCTOBER 25 • 10:00AM  ‘Ihikapalaumāewa: The original name of the island of Maui. This song celebrates the lands of Maui and its people. 

OCTOBER 25 • 1:00PM  Iā ʻOe E Ka Lā E ʻAlohi Nei: A chant composed to honor one of the last kings of Hawaii, King David Kalakaua.

NOVEMBER 8 • 10:00AM  Kaniʻahē  HULA KAHIKO a playful chant that explores old Hawaiian games.

 NOVEMBER 8 • 1:00PM  Wewelo Ka Hae Hawaii I wrote this song during a time of turmoil in Hawaii when the telescope threatened our Maunakea.  Written for the kanaka ma’oli, the ‘ōiwi, the lāhui and those who stand behind Hawaii.

 DECEMBER 13 • 10:00AM  Wā Kalikimaka This is a fun and festive Holiday Hula. 

DECEMBER 13 • 1:00PM  HILO FOR THE HOLIDAYS A Holiday favorite with a local twist.
